Company Portrait
Brandenburger Liner GmbH & Co. KG
Brandenburger has been one of the worldwide leading manufacturers of high-tech materials for more than 70 years.
Building on these decades of experience in producing and processing glass-fibre reinforced plastics, the company opened up a new market at the beginning of the 1990s and developed an innovative pipe lining system for trenchless sewer and sewage pipe rehabilitation.
To date, Brandenburger liners have been used in rehabilitation projects in more than 30 countries. In the process, more than 3 million metres of liner have been successfully installed. Brandenburger liners can be used for circular DN 150 – 1000 sewage pipes, egg-shaped 200/300 – 800/1200 profiles, as well as special profiles.High-quality corrosion-resistant Advantex® E-CR glass fibres, as well as unsaturated polyester resins or vinyl ester resins are used in the production of Brandenburger's pipe liners. The liners leave the factory ready for installation and are delivered directly to the construction site in UV-light-proof packaging. With a cable winch, the liner is pulled from shaft to shaft until it is in the correct position in the pipe to be rehabilitated. Then both ends are sealed and the liner is inflated with compressed air until a tight form-fit with the wall of the old pipe is achieved. Thereafter the liner is cured by means of a mobile UV light unit.
The Brandenburger pipe liner system is an economic and fast alternative to installing new sewage pipes. Traffic hindrances, noise, emissions and energy consumption are reduced. Another advantage is the thin liner walls made possible by the excellent mechanical properties of the glass-fibre plastics that are used. The UV light curing allows very fast and controlled curing of the liner, combined with precise process monitoring and documentation.
